The Return of Kane

Tahiti Gold continues the adventures of a character called Kane, which began in the first game in this series, Ecuador Gold. That title took place in the Temple of Luck, located deep in the heart of the South American rainforest, and when his adventure was complete, he hopped on a plane to fly home. Unfortunately, the plane ran into difficulties and had to make a crash landing on a volcanic island.

This environment is rich with gold, and the locals tell Kane that it comes from the island’s volcano. That’s all Kane needs to hear to embark on a new quest – this time to find out if the volcano really is a fount of liquid gold…

Immerse Yourself in a Sumptuous Environment

The game developers have once again created a title that is gorgeous to look at. All of the action takes place on the island, and the backdrops – which change as Kane’s adventure progresses – are beautifully depicted. The game itself plays like a six-column cascading slot, so when you manage to drop in a winning combination of matching symbols, those symbols will explode and others will fall into the columns from above to fill the newly-created spaces, making it possible to win even more.

Talking of symbols, the ones used in this game are evocative of the Tahitian world in which the adventure takes place. All symbols are carved into slabs of rock, and you can expect them to include traditionally inspired icons, depictions of various animals and a few special symbols that will be discussed in a moment.

Special Symbols and Special Features

Tahiti Gold has several special symbols which can deliver just as many special features. The first of these is the Eye of Tiki symbol, and when you get two of them the accompanying feature will destroy all symbols which are adjacent to or between those two symbols. This means that quite a few symbols can be destroyed in one hit, making plenty of room for more to drop down.

Another special symbol is the Wild Forge, which can appear on the third and sixth columns. When it does, it will be locked in place and any symbol below it which is destroyed after a winning combination will be filled with a wild. All wilds generated in this way will also stick in place even as others are destroyed, which can help you to land some great multiple wins.

A third special symbol is the Big Symbol, which is a larger than normal version of a low, medium or high-paying symbol. Big symbols come in several sizes, from 2x2 to 4x4, and they count as multiple single symbols of the same type. A 4x4 Big Symbol therefore counts as 16 regular symbols.
