Play'N GO gets five nominations

Once upon a time the world of gaming was dominated by men, but fortunately those times are long gone and women are now making vital contributions and industry-shaping innovations right across the board. As if to highlight that fact, online game developers Play’n GO have just announced that they have received no fewer than five separate nominations for the Women in Gaming Awards, which take place next month.

About the Women in Gaming Awards

The annual Women in Gaming Awards were established to recognise women who have made a mark in the industry, as well as companies which demonstrate a genuine dedication to diversity, equal opportunities and provision of an inclusive environment. This year’s ceremony will be the tenth since the awards were established, and will take place at the Savoy Hotel in London on 16 May.

About the Play’n GO Nominations

The five nominations that Play’n GO have received for the Women in Gaming Awards this year comprise two individual nominations and three company nominations. The individual nominees are Sissel Weitzhandler, who is Head of Legal and Compliance and has been nominated for Leader of the Year, and Charlotte Miliziano, who is Lead Mathematician and has been nominated for Young Leader of the Year.

The three company nominations received by Play’n GO are for Best Use of Technology, Best Place to Work and for the Employee Wellbeing Award.

Doing Things Right

Play’n GO are rightfully proud of all these nominations, but most of all the company is proud of the culture which has made them possible. ‘To have two of the leading women in our company nominated is an extremely proud moment for us and shows that we are hiring the best and the brightest and they are excelling in the industry!’ the company said in a statement. ‘These awards show we’re doing things right, and we’ll continue to do so!’

Good News for All

We congratulate Play’n GO on these nominations for the Women in Gaming Awards, which are good news for players as well as those who work in the industry.
