Play'n GO releases anther Rich Wilde title

Most of us have an adventurous side, but relatively few of us are willing to risk life and limb to embark on adventures personally. Maybe that’s why we prefer to watch big-screen heroes like Indiana Jones or Lara Croft do the kind of things that we’re quite content to simply dream about, and why online slot adventurers like Rich Wilde have become so popular.

Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena takes place in the lost city of Atlantis, and when you launch the game you will find yourself in a fantastically rendered temple structure with fully animated waterfalls to either side of the main game grid. An adventurous soundtrack accompanies you throughout your quest, and this does a very good job of helping you to feel suitably heroic as you play.

The game itself has five reels, three rows and ten pay lines, and the symbols appearing on the reels include the playing card ranks of 10, J, Q, K and A, an Owl statue, a locket, a ring and a helmet. The Shield of Athena (which bears the head of the snake-haired Medusa) serves as a paying symbol as well as one that can turn wild, and Cat Wilde is a scatter. Rich Wilde is always wild, as you would expect, and also serves as a paying symbol.

Medusa Respin Feature

This game has two special features, and the first is the Medusa Respin, which can be triggered at any time when the Shield scatter is on the reels. When this happens, the face of Medusa on the shield will come alive and the symbol will serve as a wild. The symbol will then stick in place for one respin, and if Rich Wilde appears then he too will be transformed into a wild. The appearance of additional wilds or the achievement of a win on a respin will get you another respin.

Medusa’s Gaze Free Spins Feature

Land three or more scatter symbols on the reels and you will trigger the second feature of the game, which is Medusa’s Gaze Free Spins. This will give you 10, 12, or 15 free spins for landing 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols, and the Medusa Respins feature will always be triggered when a Shield symbol appears. There is no limit on how many times Free Spins can be retriggered.
