A New Adventure for Jungle Jim!

When Microgaming released its original Jungle Jim El Dorado slot back in 2016 it introduced the world to the eponymous character, who just happens to be a man with an unquenchable thirst for adventure. That game was a big hit for Stormcraft Studios, which developed the title exclusively for Microgaming, and so it was rather inevitable that a sequel would come along at some point.

That sequel has now been announced as Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx. The revelation was made at the iGB Live! event in Amsterdam, and attendees were given access to demonstrations and previews of the visuals. We can’t tell you everything there is to know about this game, but we can tell you that it looks like a follow-up that has been well worth waiting for, and which is sure to make a big splash when it arrives at casinos later this year.

Uncovering the Mysteries of Egypt

In this new game, which is expected to be released in November, Jungle Jim has left the Amazonian city of gold behind and has travelled to Egypt in an effort to uncover its various mysteries. Specifically, the adventurer is on a quest to find the Lost Sphinx, and your role as the player is to help him succeed.

As in the original Jungle Jim title, the graphics and animations in this sequel look superb, and have a 3D rendered style that would be perfectly suited to a console game. There are five reels, five rows, and 50 paylines of action to enjoy, and we are counting down the months to be able to play the game for real.

A New Benchmark in Visual Storytelling

Jean-Luc Ferriere, who is Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming, was enthusiastic about providing a sneak-peek of the game to iGB Live! attendees. ‘Given the success and popularity of Jungle Jim El Dorado, we are really looking forward to teasing the iconic character's next outing, this week at iGB Live!’ he said. ‘The new game includes outstanding artwork and entertaining mechanics, including the popular Rolling Reels feature, and Stormcraft Studios have set a new benchmark in visual storytelling in our industry.’
